Recording and presets

Record the multiview as a video and save complete setups under a name.

Record the multiview

  1. Control → Start Recording or ⇧⌘R.
  2. While recording, the status bar shows REC with the running time.
  3. Control → Stop Recording (⇧⌘R again). The Finder shows the finished file.

The recording is saved as a .mov file (HEVC) in your Movies folder, e.g. “Multiview Live 2026-10-17 103000.mov”.

Recording works with one video source: a USB or Blackmagic device or a multiview source from your network. With VDO.Ninja or several sources you’ll see Recording needs a single video source.

Presets

A preset saves your whole setup – source, layout, windows, Companion and tally. Handy if you run, say, a service and a concert with different gear.

  1. Set everything up.
  2. File → Presets → Save Current Setup as Preset… and enter a name.
  3. Later, switch via File → Presets or with ⌃⌥1 … ⌃⌥9 (the first nine presets).

Delete Preset removes a preset.

Back up settings or move them to another Mac

File → Export Settings… saves all settings to a file. Import Settings… loads them on another Mac. Purchases are not affected.
