Multiview Live

One person. The whole production.

For small setups with 2 to 4 cameras – fixed or PTZ. Instead of a dedicated director, you do it all yourself.

At the camera

Mount your iPhone on the camera. You frame the shot, see every other camera and cut yourself.

In the service

With fixed or PTZ cameras you can sit in the room and run mixer, cameras and slides from your iPhone or iPad.

Small productions

Club evening, concert, conference: no control room needed – your iPad becomes the control desk.

How it all connects

Multiview Live doesn’t talk to your mixer directly. Bitfocus Companion sits in between – and that makes it work with almost any setup.

Companion as the middleman

Every field of your multiview triggers a Companion button. Companion turns it into the right command – for your mixer, but also for PTZ cameras, recorders or streaming. If Companion supports it, you can control it from Multiview Live.

  1. 1
    Bring in the picture

Send your mixer’s multiview to the iPhone – via NDI®, VDO.Ninja or the free Multiview Live Sender.

  2. 2
    Connect Companion

Enter your Companion address and assign a button to each camera field.

  3. 3
    Tap and switch

Tap a camera: it goes to preview or program. Tally borders show what’s live.

ProPresenter built in

Multiview Live talks directly to the ProPresenter API. See your slides, fire them and switch playlists – without a second device or extra software.

  • Slide thumbnails – tap to trigger
  • Tally frame around the active slide: yellow, green, red
  • Mini monitor with a camera picture next to CUT/FADE
  • Countdown for running videos

Everything for a calm show

Live multiview

All cameras at a glance with low latency – full screen, portrait or landscape.

Tap to switch

Each field triggers a Companion button: preview, program, CUT or FADE.

Tally

Your screen glows red when your camera is live, green on preview.

Swipe gestures

CUT, FADE or next slide with a swipe – switch without looking.

Last-cut timer

Shows how long the current shot has been on air – and can block hasty cuts.

Layouts & crop

Rearrange the multiview or build your own layout from single fields.

Picture in Picture

Keep the multiview visible while you use other apps.

Touch lock

Lock the screen during the show so nothing gets switched by accident.

Your multiview on the iPhone

Three ways to get the picture from your mixer to the iPhone – on the iPad also directly via a USB video device:

NDI®

Picks up the NDI® output of your mixer or computer directly on the local network – very low latency, no extra software. For Wi-Fi we recommend NDI|HX.

VDO.Ninja

Free, browser based. Works on the local network and over the internet – latency around 0.2 to 1 second.

Multiview Live Sender

Our free Mac app. Takes the multiview from a capture card and sends it to iPhone and iPad with very low latency.

Free for Mac

Multiview Live Sender

Send any video signal from your Mac to iPhone and iPad – with very low latency, over Wi-Fi or LAN. Multiview Live for iPhone & iPad receives it directly.

  • Starts by itself and streams as soon as a capture device is plugged in
  • iPhone and iPad find the Mac automatically
  • Adapts to your Wi-Fi: lower frame rate before lower sharpness
  • Up to 4 outputs with their own names
